As we look back on 2024, we’re grateful to Advanced Solutions International for continuing to improve iMIS with impactful enhancements that help associations streamline operations, improve engagement, and create better experiences for members.
Here are the 10 enhancements we think made a big difference this year:
- Automating Membership Renewals
Manually processing renewals is now a thing of the past. With the new Generate Membership Renewals feature, associations can fully automate membership renewals—filtering by AutoPay or non-AutoPay contacts and automatically posting batches. This means less administrative work and more time for strategic initiatives.
- A Smoother Content Editing Experience
Updating website content is easier than ever with the Easy Edit enhancements. Staff can now see unpublished changes before publishing, access quick configuration settings, and track updates in real time.
- Smarter Contact Management
Assigning default customer types is now built into the Contact Account Creator, ensuring every new individual and organization contact is categorized correctly. This reduces manual data entry and keeps member records clean and consistent.
- Simplifying Invoice Payments
Members can now pay invoices via a direct link sent in an email, eliminating the need to log in. This makes paying membership dues, event fees, and other charges more convenient—leading to faster payments and improved cash flow.
- Improved Duplicate Contact Management
Associations can now exclude individuals from duplicate searches, ensuring that only organizations are flagged for review. This update reduces false alerts and makes managing member records more efficient.
- Enhanced Support for Global Associations
Names, event titles, and product descriptions now support special characters, including Māori macrons. This ensures accuracy and inclusivity when managing member records and event listings for diverse audiences.
- A Better Event Registration Experience
New updates to the event registration interface make it easier for both staff and members to register, update details, and cancel registrations. With clearer buttons and status messages, the entire process is now more intuitive.
- Easier Access to iMIS Features & Integrations
Associations can now explore licensed features, integrations, and additional iMIS offerings (like Clowder, OpenWater, and TopClass) all in one place. This makes expanding system capabilities more accessible than ever.
- Greater Flexibility in Membership Management
Associations can now define custom start months for billing cycles and make adjustments to the Membership Configuration Wizard even after initial setup. These updates allow for more tailored membership structures.
- Stronger Security & Password Management
Administrators can now send password reset emails directly to contacts, and members receive real-time feedback on password strength when creating or updating their credentials. These enhancements help keep your members’ data secure.
Looking Ahead
Not only do these enhancements reflect the ongoing commitment to making iMIS work better for associations, but ASI has also improved their documentation, making it easier to appreciate the value of and start using the new capabilities.
